Tổng Quan Lý Thuyết Về Cấu Trúc So Sánh Hơn

Theo British Council, cấp so sánh hơn của tính từ được sử dụng để so sánh hai sự vật hoặc để cho thấy sự thay đổi của một sự vật. Để xác định cấu trúc so sánh hơn của tính từ, cần dựa vào số âm tiết của tính từ đó.

Cấp So Sánh Hơn Của Tính Từ Ngắn

Các tính từ ngắn là những tính từ thường chỉ có từ 1 đến 2 âm tiết. Với các tính từ ngắn, chúng ta thêm đuôi –er hoặc –ier để tạo thành cấp so sánh hơn (ví dụ: bigger, smaller, younger, noisier, funnier,…). Cấu trúc so sánh hơn của các tính từ ngắn là:

S1 + be + adj–er/–ier + than + S2.

Ví dụ: Life in the city is noisier than life in the countryside. (Cuộc sống ở phố thị ồn ào hơn so với cuộc sống nơi đồng quê.)

Cấp So Sánh Hơn Của Tính Từ Dài

Các tính từ dài là những tính từ thường có 2 âm tiết trở lên. Với các tính từ dài, chúng ta thêm more ở trước tính từ để tạo thành cấp so sánh hơn. Cấu trúc so sánh hơn của các tính từ dài là:

S1 + be + more + adj + than + S2.

Ví dụ: The book on the table is more interesting than the one you are reading. (Cuốn sách trên bàn thú vị hơn so với cuốn mà bạn đang đọc kia.)

Cấp So Sánh Hơn Của Tính Từ Bất Quy Tắc

Có một số tính từ không tuân theo 2 quy tắc tính từ ngắn/dài nói trên, mà chúng sở hữu dạng so sánh hơn đặc biệt riêng. Một số tính từ như vậy gồm có:

Với các tính từ bất quy tắc, cấu trúc so sánh hơn là:

S1 + be + dạng so sánh hơn + than + S2.

Ví dụ: Eating fruits and vegetables is better for your health than eating sweets. (Ăn hoa quả và rau củ tốt cho sức khỏe của bạn hơn là ăn bánh kẹo.)

Ở trình độ lớp 6, lượng kiến thức cũng như các bài tập của mảng ngữ pháp cấp so sánh hơn của tính từ chưa quá khó khăn, cũng chưa có các phần so sánh nâng cao. Vì vậy, nhiệm vụ ở cấp bậc này là nắm chắc cấu trúc so sánh hơn của tính từ ngắn, dài và bất quy tắc, cũng như cách làm các dạng bài tập so sánh hơn lớp 6 cơ bản.
